Privacy policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
Techno Promo Hub delivers unreleased music from labels and artists to DJs, radio hosts, podcasters and curators through private personal links, and collects their feedback for the label. This policy explains which personal data that involves, why, for how long, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Dino Egredzija, a private individual in Croatia, who runs Techno Promo Hub. For anything about your data, write to info@technopromohub.com.
What we process, and why
When you apply or send an inquiry on this website
We receive what you enter in the form: your name, email address, role, the name of your label, company, DJ project, show or platform, and anything else you write (release details, genres, country, links, notes). We use it to review your application or inquiry and to answer it. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before an arrangement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
When a label or artist asks to send a release
An inquiry from the "Submit your release" form is kept as a lead, apart from the promo pool: the details above, the release title and website you give, and where the request came from. We email you one personal upload link, which works once and for 14 days; we store only a scrambled form of it (a hash), so the link itself cannot be read back from our database. The upload page asks for the release material (cover, MP3 previews, the download package, the release date and the artist names), optionally the email addresses of the credited artists, and the address the DJ report should go to. Nothing you upload is sent to DJs or shown anywhere until we approve it. When we approve it, we email you the send date and the number of DJs, and the DJ report goes to the address you gave about 14 days after sending. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before an arrangement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
When you are in the promo pool (DJs and curators)
For approved members we keep the contact details above and, for each promo you receive, when it was sent, whether you opened the private link, which previews you played and which parts of them, whether you downloaded the files, the ratings, comments, favourite tracks and support information you give, and the links you add to where you played the release. We use this to send you promos that fit what you play, to unlock downloads after feedback, and to report to the label or artist who released the music. Your feedback, together with your name or DJ name, is shared with that label or artist and may be quoted by them when they promote the release. Which parts of a track were played is only ever reported combined across all listeners, never per person. If you give feedback on a promo, about two weeks after the campaign starts we send you one email with its results (how many DJs rated it, the average rating when at least three did, your own rating and links to SignalDeck), never naming another DJ, and with an unsubscribe link like every promo email. Legal basis: your consent when you join the pool (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can leave at any time with the unsubscribe link in every promo email.
Labels and artists who send promos
We keep the contact details of the people we work with and the release material they provide, to deliver their campaigns and send them reports. If a label gives us an email address for one of its releases, the campaign report is emailed there automatically 14 days after each campaign starts sending, and the address is deleted with the release. Legal basis: the arrangement with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Artists credited on a release
If a label gives us the email address of an artist credited on one of its releases, we use it only to send that artist a personal link to take over their artist page on SignalDeck (signaldeck.grooveprotocol.com), where DJ feedback on their music is shown. We share the address with SignalDeck only to lock that link to it, so that nobody else can use the link. We do not send promos to it or use it for anything else, and it is never shown in reports, to DJs or on SignalDeck. Legal basis: our legitimate interest, and the label's, in letting the artist take over their own page (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The address is deleted when the artist takes over the page, and at the latest 12 months after it was last updated.
Security and abuse prevention
The servers record the IP address and browser of requests to protect the service, for example to limit how often a form can be sent. These counters expire within an hour; server logs are kept as the hosting provider keeps them. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Emails
Promo emails contain a personal link to the promo page. Opening that page is what records that you opened the promo; the emails contain no hidden tracking pixels. Every promo email has a one-click unsubscribe link. After you unsubscribe we keep a note of it so you are never emailed promos again; an unsubscribe is never reversed without your new request.
Cookies
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers.
Who else handles the data
We use service providers that process data on our behalf and under our instructions:
- Hostinger (web hosting, databases and email for the platform), in the European Union.
- Vercel Inc. (hosting of this website), in the United States, under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
- Cloudflare (storage and delivery of audio files, where used), with data kept in the European Union.
Apart from the label or artist whose release you gave feedback on, and SignalDeck (signaldeck.grooveprotocol.com) for an artist's email address as described above, we do not sell, rent or give your data to anyone else.
How long we keep it
- Applications that are not approved: deleted within 12 months.
- Label and artist inquiries that do not lead to a campaign: deleted within 24 months.
- Releases uploaded through a personal upload link that we do not approve: deleted with all their files 60 days after the upload.
- Artist email addresses a label gave us for a SignalDeck link: deleted when the artist takes over their page, and at the latest 12 months after they were last updated.
- Promo pool members: while you are a member. If you ask us to delete your data, your personal details are removed; where a past campaign report depends on your record, the record is anonymised instead, so the report stays correct without identifying you.
- Unsubscribe notes: kept as long as needed to respect the unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, a copy in a portable format, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what was done before. Write to info@technopromohub.com; we answer within one month.
You can also complain to the Croatian data protection authority, Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka (AZOP), azop.hr, or to the authority where you live.
Other points
We make no decisions about you by automated means alone. The service is not meant for anyone under 16. If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date, and members are told by email about important changes.
